Complex treatment differs from domiciliary care, as the nature of the conditions which it is aimed at treating require more specialised medical intervention.
Who requires this means of care?
Patients who require complex nursing usually suffer from chronic, or progressive conditions. Examples of these patients include, but are not limited to people suffering from strokes, spinal cord Injuries, and brain injuries, as well as conditions that require tracheostomy, catheter or stoma care.
In addition to these, complex health treatments can be provided to patients who suffer from learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and more. The more severe the condition, and whether it is progressive or not, will determine the length and intensity of care requirements.
What is the process of securing complex care at home with Ambition24direct?
When you contact our consultants, an assessment will be arranged, where a senior nursing practitioner will visit your home, and give a thorough assessment and report on the patient's condition and needs, and after consulting will recommend a suggested care plan. This assessment does carry a small fee, but you are not contractually bound to continue our service after this process.

Who provides complex care?
Complex nursing is provided by specialist band 6 Nurses who have extensive experience in dealing with complex health conditions.
We have stringent recruitment processes in place to ensure that work history and all qualifications are verified. All staff which are recruited to provide support and treatment within our client's homes would have passed through the following process:
Candidates register with us and undergo stringent compliance, DBS, work history, clinical references checks
Screening and Interview
Verification of all qualifications, background check and training
Additional training is provided by the A24Group for nurses to continually upskill
All references and work history are verified during this process to ensure that we provide you with the most reliable staff possible.
What is a band 6 Nurse?
Band 6 Nurses are senior practitioners, who have obtained their nursing degrees or diplomas via formal training institutions, they also have extensive clinical experience and have received additional training to provide complex care.
When you opt to receive complex nursing services from Ambition24direct, a professional band 6 nurse will visit the patient's home. And although we do use the band system to identify skill levels, we have our own rate structure which ensures that nurses are paid a fair wage for the work which they do with us.
